Industrial

At JPS Composite Materials, we provide a comprehensive portfolio of advanced fiberglass reinforcement fabrics and specialty composite materials serving a wide range of industries and demanding applications. Our expertise also extends to high-performance printed circuit board (PCB) substrate materials engineered to meet the evolving needs of the electronics industry.

Power Generation Insulation

JPS Composite Materials manufactures a complete line of fiberglass fabrics specifically engineered for use in mica-backed insulation tapes utilized in electric motors, generators, and turbine systems. Through continuous innovation, we have developed lightweight, low-thickness, high-strength fiberglass reinforcements capable of meeting the rigorous performance requirements of critical power generation applications.

Our fiberglass fabrics offer exceptional thermal insulation properties, outstanding dimensional stability, and reliable performance in harsh operating environments. They are designed to resist degradation and environmental exposure, making them ideal for long-term service in demanding industrial applications.

To support a wide range of manufacturing processes, JPS offers fiberglass fabric finishes specifically formulated for compatibility with mica systems, ceramic coatings, rubber compounds, silicones, and thermoplastic materials. We also develop custom finish chemistries optimized for bonding with a variety of films, foils, and specialty coatings to meet unique application requirements.

Marine Applications

JPS Composite Materials supplies high-performance fiberglass reinforcements for marine applications where strength, durability, and long-term environmental resistance are critical. Our fiberglass fabrics are used in the construction and reinforcement of naval and commercial vessel hulls, helping manufacturers achieve demanding structural durability, and weight-performance objectives.

In addition to hull reinforcement, JPS fiberglass fabrics are utilized in marine insulation systems, bulkheads, decking structures, and other composite components throughout vessel construction. Their resistance to moisture, corrosion, and harsh marine environments makes them well suited for both topside and below-deck applications.

From military and naval programs to recreational and commercial marine vessels, JPS materials support applications requiring high mechanical performance, dimensional stability, and long-term reliability. Whether used in structural laminates, insulation systems, or specialized composite assemblies, JPS fiberglass fabrics provide proven performance in some of the industry's most demanding environments.

Para-Aramid Fabrics

Our portfolio of para-aramid fabrics, including materials based on Kevlar® and Twaron® fibers, delivers industry-leading performance for highly demanding applications. These advanced fabrics are engineered to provide exceptional resistance to cuts, electrical insulation, and high temperature while maintaining an outstanding strength-to-weight ratio.

Combining superior durability and lightweight construction, our aramid fabrics are trusted in applications where protection, structural performance, and reliability are critical.

Electronics & Printed Circuit Board Reinforcements

JPS Composite Materials supplies high-performance reinforcement materials engineered for the demanding requirements of the electronics industry. Our woven E-glass products are used in printed circuit board laminates, transformers, switchgear, and other electrical components. They deliver the insulation, dimensional stability, and mechanical strength these applications require.

Our E-glass and aramid fabrics offer excellent electrical insulation and thermal stability, making them well suited for increasingly complex electronic designs and high-performance applications.

JPS also offers materials incorporating full spread-yarn technology, which enhances laminate performance and manufacturability. When combined with application-specific finishes tailored to your resin system, these advanced reinforcements help improve resistance to cracking and reduce susceptibility to conductive anodic filament (CAF) formation.

Our materials are compatible with a broad range of resin systems, including:

  • FR-4 and other epoxy systems
  • Cyanate ester
  • Polybutadiene
  • BT resin
  • Phenolic
  • Melamine
  • Polyimide
  • PTFE

Custom-engineered finishes can be developed to meet specific performance and processing requirements while providing excellent resin adhesion and peel strength for durable laminate construction.

As an active member of the IPC-4412 Committee, JPS Composite Materials participates in the development and maintenance of industry standards governing reinforcement materials used in printed circuit boards. Our products are regularly tested and certified to meet the specifications required for advanced PCB manufacturing.
